MGE New Zealand Products

MGE’s switchgear has been used successfully throughout NZ, on a large number of commercial and industrial installations over many years, with uninterrupted production.

MGE offer switchgear that has been type-tested to the international standard IEC 439-1. These type tests included compliance with form rating, type-2 coordination, temperature rise, arc fault containment to Appendix E and short circuit withstand (up to 4000A, 85kA for 1-second).

All switchboards manufactured by MGE are in compliance with Australian/New Zealand Standard for Low-voltage switchgear and control assemblies AS/NZS 3439.1:2002.

MGE is committed to innovation and excellence in products and service, using skilled staff and advanced technologies. Concept designs are available using multi-national switchgear designs and components such as Schneider Electric’s Telemecanique and Merlin Gerin.

MGE also manufacture the Schneider Electric medium voltage switchgear including; 11-110kV indoor & outdoor switchboards, 110-220kV gas-insulated switchgear, 11-22kV ring-main units and power transformers.
